A leading retail distribution company wanted to improve their ability to recruit top talent across all levels of their organization. They recognized that the majority of their prospective warehouse and driving hires would first experience their website via their mobile phones while on lunch breaks at their current places of employment. Conversely, they recognized that the leadership hires would likely experience their website for the first time while using a desktop or laptop computer.
The distribution company engaged Artisan to design and implement a fully responsive website that would captivate the attention of all of their prospective hires across a wide range of devices.
We began with an Understand phase, a process where we learned what ultimately drove existing employees to choose the distribution company as a place to work. The output of the Understand phase were two conceptual prototypes from which the distribution company could choose a direction that best resonated with them and their existing employees. Both conceptual prototypes embodied the core learnings from the Understand phase:
During the Build phase, the conceptual designs evolved into detailed visual designs which were then implemented by the development team. The site was instrumented for analytics so the distribution company could analyze and monitor customer pathways and habits that ultimately lead to conversion in the form of a submitted resume.
The distribution company now has a high quality, responsive website that functions across all device types.
